Scuba Certification – RSTC, PADI, NAUI – Process, Concerns, and Scope of Diving Instruction

Before setting out on a scuba vacation, it is important to go through the appropriate scuba certifications. Standards for training and certification have been established by RSTC, The Recreational Scuba Training Council, in order to provide safe and adequate preparation for scuba diving. PADI, the Professional Association of Diving instructors, and NAUI, the National Association of Underwater Instructors, both provide certifications that conform to the RSTC standard and are the most commonly utilized certification organizations. Scuba certification, however, does not stop at the basic level and advanced training courses are available that deal with specialized diving scenarios, or engage in more adventurous or rescue related diving activities. Whatever niche of diving most interests you–there are classes that can provide you with the basic knowledge necessary for embarking on your own unique adventure.
